About me

Kade Alpers (they/he) is a trans-masculine dyke whose work is deeply rooted in archiving queer history. Their goal is to capture dyke and trans life in NYC as it truly exists in the present, while paying homage to the photographers who have preserved LGBTQ history and contributing to that archive for the ones who will come after. Kade's subjects are often people with whom they share trusted relationships, allowing for intimate, personal portrayals.

Testimonial

"I cannot speak highly enough of my experience having photos taken by Kade!! As someone who is a bit introverted and camera shy, Kade was really able to pull me out of my shell and helped me feel comfortable in my own skin while in front of the camera. Kade was able to capture professional candid and staged photos where I genuinely looked and felt confident and relaxed. I truly had so much fun and I can’t remember another photo shoot experience I’ve had that was filled with as much laughter as this one!!! Kade was quick to provide me with edited photos, communicated professionally via email and text, and showed up prepared and on time the day of the shoot. I plan on utilizing Kade’s services again for an upcoming white coat ceremony! 10/10 would recommend"
